Hello I'm an autistic adult gamer.This is my review on the Wii Classic Controller.I like the wii classic controller I can play all the old school games for cheap prices using nintendo points card. Work's for me. By the I downloaded:DK 1 - SNES - 800DK 2 - SNES - 800Indiana Jones - SNES - 800Pinball - NES - 500I enjoy playing these games.Get this controller you won't regret it. I like this controller despite the fact I haven't played with it yet. This controller is sturdy, but the downside is it is not compatable with Super Mario Brothers new Wii game which most probably know now. Otherwise, I am looking forward to using it for Need For Speed Nitro.
For all those interested on CLASSIC games on the Virtual Console, buy this controller. The Classic Controller is perfect for Mario Kart, Contra, Shinobi, Mystical Ninja and all those good 'ol games you used to play when you where an elementary or high school.
Why are people whining about "Oh, doesn't work with Gamecube games.". This controller says it's made SPECIFICALLY for Virtual Console games.
Duh. The Wii console has GC controller ports.
I wonder what's that for. If you actually bought 3 or 4 of these controllers to play Wii games or Gamecube games, do yourself a favor and try to THINK a little and ask an electronics clerk or do some research BEFORE wasting money.

I find it a hassle to use. Kind of.So why 4 stars. etc. One major reason for my purchase of the Wii console was for the ability to play Virtual Console games from eras past. It's not exactly a hindrance, but it requires slight adjustment after years of cords propagating out of the top of the controller. And the fact that the Classic Controller plugs into the Wiimote makes it virtually wireless.
It handles great for SNES and NES titles, while the Wavebird makes for a mediocre substitute.
Also, I'd now have access to Genesis and SNES titles, and I own neither system.While the game selection is limited and the game prices are too expensive, the Wii's Virtual Console download option is still a great thing.
I feel like they should provide two controllers at the $20 retail price.
I still own an original NES and many of my favorite titles, but it rarely works properly, isn't very cosmetically appealing, etc.
It's price point, as with every other Nintendo accessory, is irrationally high.
Having owned one of the greatest controllers ever made - the Gamecube wireless "Wavebird" - I assumed that controller would suffice for most classic games.
But that's really not true.A good portion of NES and SNES titles almost require this Wii Classic Controller.
The Wii console and game titles are reasonably priced, but Nintendo gouges you on these accessories.Also, the connecting wire is poorly placed at the bottom of the controller.
Moreover, at this price, you shouldn't really have to deal with any wire.
Being the only console on the market able to switch around controllers, from classic controllers, guns, swords, tennis Rackets and whatever you can think of makes it all the more fun. This is another staple of why Wii is the best.
